By installing or using CartWatch ("the App"), you ("Merchant") agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not install or use the App. These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Vynt Labs ("we," "us," "our"), the operator of CartWatch.
CartWatch is a Shopify app that analyzes checkout events to detect likely bot or fraudulent activity. When configured, it can automatically apply a customer tag (CARTWATCH_FLAGGED_BOT) to flagged accounts and suppress contacts in connected email platforms (Klaviyo, Omnisend).
CartWatch operates as a data processor on your behalf. You remain the data controller for all personal data belonging to your store's customers. You are responsible for ensuring your use of CartWatch complies with applicable privacy laws (including GDPR, CCPA, and any other regulations applicable to your jurisdiction).
By using CartWatch, you authorize us to process the following data from your Shopify store on your behalf:
This data is used solely to provide the bot detection service described above. We do not sell, share, or use this data for any purpose outside of providing CartWatch functionality to you.
Checkout records and audit logs are retained for 90 days from creation and then automatically deleted. All data is deleted immediately when you uninstall CartWatch.

As the data controller, you are responsible for responding to data subject requests (access, deletion, portability) from your customers. If a customer requests erasure of their data and you notify us, we will delete the relevant checkout records from our systems. You can also submit erasure requests to support@vyntlabs.com.
You may not use CartWatch to:
CartWatch uses heuristic signals to estimate the likelihood of bot activity. It does not guarantee detection accuracy. False positives (legitimate customers flagged as bots) and false negatives (bots not detected) can occur. You are solely responsible for any business decisions made based on CartWatch's output.
CartWatch is offered under tiered subscription plans. Fees are charged through Shopify's billing system. Plan limits (e.g., monthly scan counts) are described in the app. We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice.
CartWatch is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that detection results will be accurate.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vynt Labs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of CartWatch, including but not limited to loss of revenue, loss of customers, or claims arising from incorrect bot classifications. Our total liability shall not exceed the fees you paid to us in the three months preceding the claim.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by email. Continued use of CartWatch after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
You may terminate your use of CartWatch at any time by uninstalling the app from your Shopify store. We may suspend or terminate your access for violations of these Terms. Upon termination, all your data will be deleted as described in our Privacy Policy.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of New York.
